Coastal Cowgirl Open Back Zippered Short Dress from Commense

I originally bought this dress to wear on my Paris trip – I took it to Paris and didn’t get to wear it. Full story below.

It ended up being perfect for my birthday wedding dress shopping in NYC.

I highly recommend brunch at Laduree – ultimate gossip girl vibes. I loved it.

I went to the Madison Ave. location in the upper East side but they have a few locations in NYC.

Funny story I wanted to wear this dress in Paris. The streamer we took didn’t work. We have a wonderful large steamer at home but it’s way too large to fit into a suitcase. We bought a travel size steamer that specifically had the right voltage for Europe. It didn’t work at all. It produced zero steam. I could not get the wrinkles out of this dress and it was too wrinkled to wear. Our Airbnb in Paris has only one machine (washer and dryer combined?) Or are driers not a thing in Europe? Does everyone air dry clothing there? Im still not sure. I stuck my dress in, the buttons were all in french but with google translate some of the options sounded like they would dry. Nope. It dumped water all over my dress and another sweatshirt and I ended up having to take it home in a plastic bag soaking wet (insert crying face emoji). It did not get to make an appearance in Paris.

But it got its chance to shine a month or so later I went to NYC for my birthday to try on wedding dresses and I wore this to brunch at Laduree’s then to Kleinfeld’s <3

I loved wearing this dress! I have loved everything I’ve ordered from Commense. I have a few Commense try on hauls on my TikTok! -No commission paid for the link above 🙂 Click the image of the dress to shop!

Alex Coopers bachelorette party – my outfit

This dress is so pretty! So fun to wear! Perfect for all the bride-to-be things!

Im wearing size XXS.

Leighton Mini Dress from For Love & Lemons:

The unwell tour was a lot of fun, if Alex does it again definitely go!

I went to Philly night one of the tour, 11.9.23 and imo we got the best guest plus singing happy birthday to Henry was special! <3

I paired the dress with my mini Gucci, I have had the GG MARMONT SUPER MINI BAG for many years now and Ive gotten a lot of use out of it. It’s perfect for events because it’s small enough that it’s usually allowed inside. It costs a good bit more now than when I bought it years ago, the prices on designer bags always go up over time, they are truly an investment!

Bronx and Banco Casey Mini dress – What I wore to Palace of Versailles

IMO this was the best thing I could have possibly worn to Palace of versailles! I almost didn’t get the dress in the mail in time, I realized it wouldn’t make it in time, asked them to change the shipping to ship it to where I was staying in Paris. They did it. It got there before me and it got rejected (I knew there was a big chance that would happen) BUT the tracking actually showed me exactly what shipping center it was at in Paris. I went there Monday night 10-23-23 and got the package. I wore it the following day 10-24-23 to Versailles and loved every minute of wearing it!! I told this story on my TikTok – follow me! https://www.tiktok.com/@anniesettie

It is even prettier in person!! It comes in a few colors, the lilac purple color would also be amazing!

My shoes are Stuart Weitzman Stuart 100 Pump in Patent Leather Adobe Beige – these are one of my favorite – match everything – best pair of shoes I own. Again wear any heels if you’re lucky enough that all the cheaper brands make your size! Only the luxury brands make my size. I think it’s a sign I was born to be a luxury girly. I bet the luxury brands also last longer and I won’t need to replace these as quickly as I would a cheaper pair! Still sometimes I wish I could just get a bunch of cheap heels but its just not an option for my weird size foot.

Perfect dress for palace of versailles

If you’re going to Palace of Versailles I cannot imagine a more perfect dress – this dress was so perfect for versailles. So much fun to wear, I felt like a princess and loved every minute of wearing this dress! The texture detail is gorgeous, the dramatic waist flair is gorgeous. I love it!

My little trick – take your picture inside the gate – yes it’s SLIGHTLY less cool without the palace in the background but honestly better than waiting in a giant photo line and getting a couple rushed photos. I preferred taking my time, taking a ton of photos and reels, behind the gate! You can see the hundreds of people on the other side of the gate that waited in a giant photo line.

Also the TikTok skip the line trick worked for us. Book breakfast at Ore – Ducasse au château de Versailles for the earliest seating available (yes you have to get up and out of Paris EARLY but it’s worth it!). This worked perfect for us, we got mimosas with our breakfast and got escorted to the front of a line of hundreds, probably over a thousand people waiting in line to enter the palace.

The skip the line tickets available at breakfast can’t include the gardens but we were able to get garden tickets separately after viewing the palace. There was no long line for the garden tickets but why its important to book the earliest time available for your breakfast is that the garden tickets can sell out – the garden typically comes after you’ve walked through the whole palace. Im not sure if you could go straight to the garden then go back into the palace to explore it second. That isn’t typically how it’s set up, may or may not be possible, I’m not sure. If you go to late the garden can sell out and you won’t get to see it, which would have devastated me, I really wanted to see the garden and it beyond lived up to its hype and was so worth waking up early for. I loved it and loved wearing this dress!

The dress I wore when I got engaged in Paris

My dress is Alexia María Sophie Bow-Embellished Minidress, I’m wearing size 00.

It was October 22nd and it was cold. I was cold but it was the best day. This day is a special date for us (we started dating the]e first time in high school on 10-22-11) so I was ok with being a little bit cold to accommodate the sentimental date, otherwise we would have went sooner in the year. I still didn’t know if we were getting engaged or not, I just knew we were doing a photoshoot. I hoped engagement hence the white dresses but since I love to do photoshoots all the time regardless, I wasn’t sure, it could have just been a photoshoot. We had a little catastrophe happen weeks before the trip (we almost couldn’t go and I was beyond devastated – as many people would be if it was their first time to Europe and their graduation present). It was said to us “go another time”. I would have frozen if we waited another month! You can see my goose bumps in many of the photos it is funny! I am thankful we ended up able to go in October, November would have been freezing in my dresses!(I had to wear dresses. Absolutely had to!) So happy I freezed through it because these pictures are worth it for the rest of my life. Our what turned out to be engagement photoshoot was the most fun amazing day and our pictures exceeded my dreams. I love them so much. Look at them on my Instagram page and I will put some together into a blog post with the full story and all the details soon!

The dress I wore first during the proposal:

Alexia María Sophie Bow-Embellished Minidress, I’m wearing size 00.

The dress from the designers website:

My shoes are Jimmy Choo Romy 100 Ivory Satin Pointy Toe Pumps because I need size 34 and almost no one makes it! This was truly the only pair of plain white heels I could find in the size that fits me properly. These were wonderful I’m glad I found them in stock in my size!(they are sold out of my size 34 right now as I link this)

More links for everything from my engagement photoshoot coming soon! Plus a post with the whole story and all the photos!

travel outfits! (if your always cold on flights like me)

This was in mid October, it was cold it Pittsburgh and also going to be cold where we were landing in London. Almost every flight Ive ever been on I’m always freezing cold. I know this and I wear warm clothes and I still freeze. This was the first flight I didn’t freeze. Also the first time I *kindof* fell asleep, not entirely but I got comfortable and fell into a light sleep for a long time which was perfect for an overnight 8 hour flight. This outfit worked really well for me!

I wore Nike leggings and matching tank (you could never see the tank) a plain black hoodie over top, platform uggs with the big slouchy socks, I wanted to take these to Europe and they are huge. So is the jacket I’m wearing. I felt like I saved the most suitcase room with these choices haha. Then my dress coat is from All Saints. Everything linked below, click the images to shop.

Jadens jacket is from English Factory and his shoes are uggs – also linked below. He is always hot on flights so he wore just a t-shirt and took this jacket off on the flight and we were able to use his jacket as a blanket. I would highly recommend big jackets like this if you get cold on flights and to save space in your suitcase.

My tan coat I got on sale and All Saints does not make it anymore but it’s sometimes available on some other sites. Google search “All Saints Millie Wool-Blend Coat”. I linked a few I found below here: click to shop!

This one is ribbed – mine is not ribbed

I think this is the exact one I have below here:

unrelated but I found these sweatpants in this same color (diffused blue) – I love this color and definitely want to buy these asap

My black hoodie is oversized, its a medium from Abercrombie:

my platform uggs:

Jadens jacket – it can be hard to find because its on sale and sold out but if you google search ” Ted Baker London – Raydon peak-lapel single-breasted wool coat” sometimes a few are available. It comes it other colors also. This jacket is really nice, good quality. I would buy it again.

Jadens shoes: His are the color Oyster. These are on sale right now – grab them! I think these are so cute for mens shoes!
